Position Overview
The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) at Perio Protect plays a critical role in driving growth and managing relationships within key accounts, including Dental Service Organizations (DSOs), Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), and other strategic partners. This role is responsible for achieving sales targets by developing and executing effective sales and marketing strategies, cultivating new DSO partnerships, and ensuring high levels of service across assigned accounts.

The SAM leverages budgeted resources to support education initiatives and strengthen customer relationships, while identifying new opportunities within DSO networks. In addition to leading account strategy, the SAM provides guidance to Perio Protect Account Managers and ensures alignment with broader company goals. This position requires regular travel, adherence to administrative processes, and compliance with all company policies and industry regulations.

  • Provide strategic direction to Perio Protect Account Managers to ensure aligned execution of DSO-specific sales strategies.
  • Fulfill all administrative requirements, including CRM updates, expense reporting, mileage tracking, and monthly calendar planning.
  • Travel as needed to visit assigned DSO, GPO, and key account customers to support ongoing business needs.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and reporting expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in the dental, medical device, or healthcare industry.

  • Strong understanding of DSO organizational structures and decision-making processes.
  • Experience developing and managing account-specific sales and marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for engaging with executive leadership.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for pipeline management and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
