Position Overview
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely fulfillment of all domestic, international, dealer, direct, and marketing orders shipped from Vista Apex. This role ensures a high level of quality, accuracy, and safety in shipping operations while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements, including DOT, IATA, and IMO standards. The position requires strict adherence to the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 13485 manufacturing procedures. The Shipping Clerk also plays a key role in maintaining organization, cleanliness, and efficiency in the shipping area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify and screen customer orders for accuracy
  • Pull materials and products based on pick lists
  • Package shipments in accordance with internal guidelines and order documentation
  • Accurately record shipping data and product movement
  • Prepare all necessary shipping documentation, including shipping labels, invoices, and bills of lading
  • Operate shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager)
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT), IATA, and IMO regulations
  • Follow all applicable ISO 13485 standards and internal quality procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Assist in overall warehouse cleanliness and organization
  • Operate material handling equipment such as reach trucks and order pickers (following proper certification/training)

Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math, reading, writing, and English comprehension skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with email and inventory systems
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn basic warehouse/shipping software
  • Ability to safely operate basic warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and lift equipment

Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma preferred; GED accepted
  • Minimum of 3 months of previous shipping, warehouse, or relevant experience required

  • Occasional overtime may be required during peak shipping periods
